KON-BOOT - ULTIMATE WINDOWS/LINUX HACKING UTILITY :-)
posted on 09 May 2009 18:29 by exploitcatzThe headline is taken directly from the title of the author's site right here...
What this nifty Kon-Boot does is to inject some malicous stuffs (I don't know exactly what are they, though
) into the kernel during boot process in order to bypass password protection for any local users including a privileged one. Unlike some other password recovery tools out there (e.g. those shifted with Hiren), this Kon-Boot dude does not make any changes to the local authentication system (i.e. resetting the user's password) or require some security monkeys to crack the dumped hashes. Also it does work on both Windows & Linux!! (tested OS's can be found on the homepage)
Still, an access to the physical machine to boot the CD or floppy is needed
Don't forget to give it a try next time :P
PS. WTH is that little damn yellow doll??? I should have priorly seen it for sure... in some manga or anime... But I really can't recall what exactly it is... Such a big annoyance ...somebody helps!!
